A short while ago, I went to Trancoso, Bahia, and stayed in the wonderful Uxua resort, through the invitation of Porter magazine, which asked me (and my husband, Tinko) to capture the place’s magic for their first issue, which came out this February.
Trancoso is a picturesque little village formed around its main square, the “quadrado,” with a lovely colonial church at its helm and the sea below the cliff just behind that. This is where you will find a uniquely Brazilian charm and beautiful colonial houses turned into restaurants and bed-and-breakfasts.
We checked in at Uxua, with its ten bungalows, and were given a wonderful tree house, with its own hot tub, located next to the eye-catching pool made of aventurine quartz, shimmering with fifty shades of green!
