There's a distinctly jaunty spirit at work throughout the Tod's Spring collection. It starts with the mood-enhancing colors—red, coral, sky blue, natural, white, and gold—and extends through pieces like the new Candy bag. With its sweet squat shape and pinched ends make it resemble a bonbon; and in gold snake or natural with blue touches, it's as irresistible as an Italian caramella. On the footwear front, Tod's latest driving loafer has a slim look, with a thin belt across the instep and rubber pebbles creeping up the sides, while the simple, flat Fiji sandal looks perfect for one of Gauguin's island beauties (particularly in gold python). A luscious sky-blue crocodile satchel with just the right slouch seems destined to do double duty as a work-and-beach bag.

All these toothsome goodies have a new place to hang out and look cool, in the glorious store the company opened on rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré during Paris fashion week. With its Italian-stone floors, ivory tones, and dramatic wall covered entirely in creamy leather, the 7,000-square-foot space is the ultimate showcase for Tod's luxurious yet practical, trend-transcending designs.
