According to an item in New York, one of the new unisex fragrances Tom Ford launched this spring, Tuscan Leather, smells not like the Italian countryside or the interior of a luxury sports car, but like…cocaine. “That’s what everyone says,” the magazine quotes an employee at the Ford boutique on Madison Avenue as saying. Coincidence or yet another example of Ford’s genius for playing to his customers’ baser desires? The designer wasn’t available for comment.
