gold digger
With attention spans at an all-time low, one old-school jeweler is proving hip to consumers' changing ways. Later this week, H. Stern, now in its 62nd year, is inviting customers to trade in their old gold jewelry for pieces from the current collection. What's the catch? As far as we can see, none. If nothing catches your eye, you can even get a store credit on the gold you give back. Now if we could only trade in our Henry Holland logo tees for some of his new patent-leather short shorts. Bartering will be available at the H. Stern flagship store in New York from Sept. 26-29.Alison Baenen
