After it was revealed last week that one of the bartenders at the birthday party Demi Moore threw for Ashton Kutcher at Socialista had been exposed to the hepatitis virus, the blogs went wild: Was Liv Tyler looking jaundiced? How about Madonna? Not Moore’s ex and Kutcher’s progressive BFF, Bruce Willis! What we were more curious about, however, was how the celebrity hangout was going to handle a bit of bad press. That question was answered this weekend: In response to the health scare, the Jane Street hot spot spent the weekend handing out hepatitis “shots.” Of tequila. And vodka. Actually, of whatever alcohol the lucky patrons wanted. Finally, a shot that doesn’t make you cry. At least not until the next morning.
