Teller

Early-morning shoppers at Colette on Tuesday were treated to a surprise visit from none other than legendary lens man Juergen Teller. “I arrived yesterday to see the Vivienne Westwood show, which was very inspiring and had a great energy about it,” said Teller, who was there at the request of the store’s artistic director, Sarah Lerfel, and spent about 20 minutes discreetly signing copies of his latest book, “Juergen Teller/Vivienne Westwood Spring/Summer 08″ (Steidl), which is based on an advertising campaign he photographed for the designer. “She’s a real individual in the sense that she stands her ground for what she believes in.” And what about the clothes? “I do own one thing of hers, now that I think about it: a pair of boots.”
