If you liked the seventies London-girl prints at Tibi’s Fall show, you’ll be happy to know that your home can be similarly vibrant come May. “We’re doing our first wallpaper line!” confided Tibi’s designer, Amy Smilovic, at the WWD-sponsored after-party at the Bryant Park Hotel yesterday. “We have a license with Flavor Paper in New Orleans. They did my house, and they do these hand screen-prints and even scratch-and-sniff papers. The collection will come out at the ICF show. It will be wildly printed—like a new painting for your wall.” This came as good news for guest Gillian Hearst-Shaw. “I just bought a new apartment at the Sheffield 57. My sister moved into the same building three weeks ago,” she said. “The line comes out in May? That’s perfect! Maybe we can do the living room or a wall in the kitchen…” For those unfamiliar with the newly revamped Sheffield 57, it’s tucked behind the Hearst Tower, where Gillian works at Town & Country—an enviable commute, indeed.
