amurri in africa

In these times of Hollywood greed and gluttony, it wouldn't be hard for a young woman like Eva Amurri to find herself inhow shall we word this?compromising situations. She's the daughter of Oscar owner Susan Sarandon; calls another Oscar owner Dad (her stepfather, Tim Robbins); and has a successful career in film of her own. Instead of scandals, though, Amurri has taken a more philanthropic role in the spotlight, becoming a U.N. Goodwill Ambassador last year and upping her involvement with Hero, a U.N.-sponsored African aid initiative. On Thursday night, Amurri, in a red Zac Posen number, hosted a cocktail party and silent auction at Paris Commune, welcoming pals Mamie Gummer, "Gossip Girl" 's Taylor Momsen, Chris Benz, James Snyder, and Dakota Johnson. Her proud parents were there, too, and both Robbins and Sarandon donated some of their own photographs to the auction. "It seems like a lot of people are trying to do stuff with Africa," said Amurri, who traveled to the continent last year. "Having been there, I can totally see why. I'm already planning to go back."
