Boudicca designers Zowie Broach and Brian Kirkby aren't just about serious black clothes—they take their food seriously, too, sitting down to an organic staff lunch every day in their London studio. So for their recent private-order day, rather than just inviting a few favored customers and friends over to shop, they decided to put their personal stamp on the proceedings by staging a baking contest. This being a Boudicca-sponsored event, one of the entries was called When Hell Freezes Over and featured a tiny grim reaper marooned on an expanse of white icing (he didn't win, though; that's the winning pastry above).
