mariacarla in paradis: on newsstands this week

July 14, 2008  5:20 pm

Staunch supporters of the more-is-more aesthetic should keep an eye out for the fourth issue of the two-year-old, biannual French publication Paradis when it hits American newsstands later this week. The mag features a 50-page fashion spread of Mariacarla Boscono photographed by Juergen Teller. “It’s an absurdly indulgent erotic journey which was shot over three days in Rome last month,” reveals publisher/art director Thomas Lenthal. “In the end it’s quite beautiful, romantic, and sometimes shocking. It’s almost as if you are purchasing a book!” Also highlighted in the 300-plus-page glossy is an interview with Pierre Hardy (accompanied by an editorial styled by the designer himself) and a profile of British architect Norman Foster, written by Hans Ulrich Obrist.
