Anthelios

As the summer sizzles on, attention turns to the age-old dilemma that faces many an Upper East Sider this time of year: If you’re sailing your eight-bedroom yacht to Greece, how many bottles of Anthelios sunscreen do you need to keep guests in each room sunburn- and wrinkle-free for a month at sea? “It’s a lot of units,” B. Bernadette Fulleur, manager of Zitomer pharmacy, insists, referring to a recent order she took from one of the Madison Avenue mainstay’s loyal customers. Boasting the city’s largest supply of La Roche-Posay’s Anthelios sunscreens—the cult product line with a patented UVA and UVB-blocking Mexoryl-based formula—Zitomer has become the destination for jet-setters (and common folk serious about sun protection) looking to stock up on the lotions and creams that have only been available stateside for a little over a year. Coppertone—so gauche.
