Were there any pieces from Match Point that you wanted to take home with you?
I took some of Johnny [Rhys-Meyers] and Matthew [Goode]'s cashmere sweaters, but I would never be caught dead in some of my character's outfits. I had to try on a million gauzy white dresses for this one scene… blech.

The film is set in London. Did you do much shopping there?
Topshop is crack. I spent so much money there that I had to buy an extra suitcase to come home.

What's your greatest shopping vice?
When we were filming, I had a pair of shoes custom made. They were just a pair of regular shoes, like oxfords almost. It's the principle: They are made to the exact specifications of your foot. You're going to have them forever. And these are the most comfortable shoes that you'll ever wear—it's like having Birkenstocks made for you. I still haven't gotten them. It's been six months. I can't believe I bought them. When I left, I was like, holy shit, I could have fed a small African country with the amount of money I spent on those shoes.

How was working with Woody?
We're both neurotic New Yorkers, so it worked out nicely. I was immediately attracted to the role, but not because I think I'm a sexy American actress or anything. If he hired me just to go and buy his coffee every morning, I would.
