make it snappy

"The Belgium thing always get mentioned. But because it's such a small country, we feel like we have to support it!" said Anouck Lepère at Soho Grand last night, where she was hosting a party for the "Fragments" photo exhibit of fellow Belgian Alex Salinas in the hotel's gallery. "Anouck and I came from the same town, and I photographed her before she was a model," explained Salinas, who was soaking up his first New York fashion week. After checking out the photos (some featuring his better half), Jefferson Hack held court over a set of couches in the lobby and the Sass & Bide girls mingled nearby. As for the normally busy Lepère, she's in chill mode this week. "I just wore Doo.Ri for Earth Pledge, but otherwise, I'm not doing any shows this season," she said. "And my jewelry line is on hold, so all I'm doing is hosting this!" Hmm seems like a prime opportunity to pick up a hobby. Maybe take a page from Salinas' book? "I don't think I will ever do photography professionally," she said, "just with my iPhone!"
