no pucci collection is complete without this new book
Monday, August 16, 2010
Peter Dundas has turned a whole new generation of boldfacers onto Pucci with his thigh-grazing scarf-print dresses. But then, as a new volume celebrating its storied history documents, the Florentine label and the jet set have been fellow travelers since the Marchese Emilio Pucci di Barsento founded the brand more than 60 years ago. Jackie O? She's in the book. And so is Marilyn Monroe. A limited-edition version of the tome bound in vintage Pucci fabric and complete with four prints of original drawings will be released next month, and Pucci lovers should put in their pre-orders now. With only 500 signed and numbered copies, it's guaranteed to sell out faster than you can say "Fly me to Capri."
