This silk chiffon slip dress from Ports 1961 knocks off three major Spring trends at once: minimalism, all things sheer, and lingerie. That’s a lot of stylish bang for only a hundred bucks. We recommend pairing it with a classic trench (another Spring must-have), thick knit black tights, and lace-up booties for a fuss-free work look. Sorry, L.B.D.s. Click the image to shop.

After seeing the straight-out-of-the-sixties suits at Miu Miu for pre-fall, we’re predicting lots of plaid on the Fall runways. Get your hands on some early with this faded cornflower blue and buttery yellow scarf from Tsumori Chisato. Click the image to shop.

Is there anything more feminine and romantic than completing your beauty routine with a few fluffs of a delicately scented powder puff? We particularly love Prada’s L’Eau Ambrée perfumed talc for its modern look and fresh citron, May rose, and amber fragrance. We’ll be gifting our friends, and ourselves, with this classic come Valentine’s Day. Click the image to shop.

Military jackets are everywhere this season. From high end to the high street, it’s hard to find a topper that isn’t bedecked with utility pockets or epaulets. Rag & Bone’s Napoleon coat is a great way to experiment with the trend without going overboard. The long panel unzips on the hem so you get a stylish double-breasted coat and jacket for the price of one; and once the clamor for all things army dies down, you’ll be left with a jaunty, and timeless, tweed jacket. Hannah MacGibbon’s pre-fall collection for Chloé; was chock-full of clean, almost preppy separates, but we couldn’t take our eyes off the shoes. Spiffed-up takes on penny loafers, they looked just as good with her androgynous suits as they did with her soft cocktail dresses. These chocolate brown loafers from Mariano Napoli are better than a temporary stand-in until the Chloé versions hit stores this summer. Handmade, they’ll last you for ages—or at least until preppy comes back around again. Click the image to shop.

After several seasons of hard-as-nails urban warriors, Spring’s sudden shift to rustic, countrified dressing was a welcome sight. Sure, we love our leather body-con minis, but there’s irresistible romance to Christopher Kane’s picnic-blanket gingham and Chanel’s haute farmwear. The sheer sleeves and lace details on this peasant top from GEM make it just the thing for a low-key date night. Click the image to shop.

Bold digital prints are a major spring trend, but even if neutrals are more your speed, you can still embrace the “techno” look with futuristic accessories. We think this geometric necklace from Missoni would pair nicely with a simple white T-shirt and a shiny new iPad. Click the image to shop.

There’s Victoria Beckham and there’s The Row, and we’re hoping for big things from Sarah Jessica Parker at Halston Heritage, but aside from those collections, when it comes to celebrity clothing lines, expectations are generally low. So we were surprised to discover this dress from Nicole Richie’s Winter Kate label. The printed kimono style reminds us of Richie’s own boho vibe, and we imagine the gently draped waist is flattering whether you’re a sylph like Vanessa Traina (pictured) or not. The dress is on pre-order now, and we don’t suggest waiting; something tells us Winter Kate will be a must come spring. Click the image to shop.
