Borrowed From The Boys

RTW may be our specialty, but we’ve secretly always loved the men’s collections (and not just for the models, thank you very much). The Spring 2011 season is proving particularly inspirational in the shoe department. Runways from Lanvin to Dior Homme to Bottega Veneta featured nattily dressed dudes in thick-strapped sandals, usually in black, and now we’re seriously craving a pair. This style from Tod’s has the same sporty sensibility as its male catwalk counterparts, but with the feminine addition of artfully placed cutouts. Click the image to shop.

A Call To Arms: Luxurious T-Shirts To Beat The Heat

Bathing Beauty

Chain Gang

One beauty trend we’ve been loving this Spring: topknots. Street-style denizens and red-carpet regulars alike seem to be in agreement about ballerina-worthy tresses: Whether sleek and tight à la Marc Jacobs or messy and full as on the ladies at Lanvin, they’re definitely a do. And with all of one’s hair piled high atop the head, serious earrings are a serious must. These danglers from Ben-Amun are long on style. Click the image to shop.

Call of the Wild

From Alber Elbaz’s feathered gals at Lanvin to John Galliano‘s haute nomads, tribal references are making a splash on the Parisian runways. You can get a head start on the trend with this minidress from Manoush. The fringe embellishment adds a just-wild-enough touch to a perfect day dress, and the embroidered floral motif keeps things light and sweet. It’s a wear-now piece that’ll take you straight through fall. Click the image to shop.
