Short Change

-------

Shorts for spring are about as revolutionary as florals, but after popping up on several Spring 2010 runways, including Chanel and Givenchy Haute Couture no less, they’re a must-have now more than ever. After last summer’s proliferation of ragged daisy dukes, it’s high time for a more sophisticated weekend option. This soft leather pair from Tory Burch has a fun tie-dye print (a nice alternative to denim), but more importantly, it has a decent inseam. Looking downtown cool with no risk of overexposure? Now that’s change we can believe in. Click the image to shop.

Strictly Business: The New Look of Minimalism

Red Hot

-------

There are few things in this world that we love more than a fashion bargain, and this 100 percent leather cross-body bag from ASOS is one deal we really can’t pass up. Petite satchels are the must-have look of the season, and with its sparkly red finish, this one is perfect for sprucing up a day look or adding a little glitz for a night out on the town. Our favorite part, though, has to the be the price: only $14 and change! Act quickly, we have a hunch this beauty won’t be around for long. Click the image to shop.

Sand Storm

-------

Some spring trends are expected (florals, anyone?), but others came as a total surprise last September at the shows. Take, for example, the lightweight leather pieces we saw everywhere. We’d really love one of Phillip Lim‘s tie-back tanks, but since those won’t be available for a couple more months, we’ll settle on this gorgeous Doma jacket instead. The close, cropped fit keeps it from looking too “biker babe,” and the light sand color will pair beautifully with your favorite springtime pieces. It’s also almost 50 percent off, so get shopping!
