Drama Schooled

Matching your lipstick and your nails might seem old-school, but the combination looked newly fresh on the Chanel Fall Couture runway. The dangerously sexy Jungle Red shade of this lipstick, lip liner, and nail polish set from NARS makes channeling your inner vamp a cinch. The color was named after the 1939 Joan Crawford movie. When it comes to dark Hollywood glamour, she’s not a bad one to emulate. Click the image to shop.

Ice, Ice Baby

Spring manicures mean bidding goodbye to vampy dark shades and saying hello to pastels. We can think of few better ways to greet the season, especially with the winter snows still raging outside, than NARS’ limited-edition Blue Lagoon polish in pale, gray-tinged icy blue. Who said being an ice queen was a bad thing? Click the image to shop.

We Love The Nineties

-------

One look at the matte brown lips on the models who walked Givenchy’s Spring show and it’s clear that the beauty world isn’t immune to fashion’s current obsession with the nineties. I won’t be sporting a mocha pout anytime soon (or bleached eyebrows, for that matter), but the idea of a sepia-hued manicure feels very fresh. I’ll be toting NARS Chinatown nail polish (in my vintage Dooney & Bourke bucket bag, natch) to my next nail appointment.
