Fresh Chai

-------

Leave it to Richard Chai to be way ahead of the game with the changing shape of pants. The ever-cool designer first showed these slightly flared boyfriend trousers at his Spring presentation for his secondary line Love way back in September. Fast-forward a few months and kicky boot-cuts were on every directional runway for Fall. The leg-lengthening silhouette is key here, but we also love the metallic sheen and stormy hue, which will be easy to wear now and when the thermostat drops. Click the image to shop.

My So-Called Life

-------

Get ready to relive the nineties. With Richard Chai, Wayne Lee of Wayne, and Erin Wasson for RVCA all in an angst-y state of mind, grunge is shaping up to be big for Fall. Of course, making the look “now” requires a certain amount of finesse and cleverness; Salvor‘s oversize print scarf is a great way to take on the fashions of 1994 without being too literal. The wood-grainlike pattern with “Latitude Zero” splashed across the front (how very Gen X) would look hip with the long, loose layers we’ve been seeing this week. Melancholy mixtape not included.
