The It girl is a fairly well-documented archetype—one that usually involves a glam family background, a cool day job, and an even cooler night life. But what of her more elusive male counterpart? We traveled far and wide—OK, all the way up to the Boom Boom Room on the eighteenth floor of the Standard hotel—to track down these mythical creatures. Just don't call them It boys or even playboys (that term went out with Errol Flynn, or at least Tim Jeffries). In deference to one of their favorite hangouts, let's call them the new Baby Boomers.
