Spring 2010 Preview

It's a Gas, Gas, Gas
Fashion week wasn't the same last season without Alexander Wang's after-party, but it's back on the calendar for September 12, and from what we hear, the wunderkind designer just might outdo himself. No, Foxy Brown isn't scheduled to perform. Together with Love's Katie Grand, Wang's planning to take over a West Side gas station in a bash co-sponsored by MAC and Milk Studios. All the oil will be drained from the tanks, but that doesn't mean the atmosphere won't be, ahem, explosive. In fact, Wang is hoping to blow your perception of his work in more ways than one. He's moving his show to Pier 94 and breaking with the body-con aesthetic of the past in favor of something more all-American—with a whiff of teen spirit. Do we smell another grunge revival?
