Spring 2010 Preview

Hollywood on the Hudson
There are over 150 shows on the schedule, but if you somehow find yourself with time on your hands, you could keep busy at the movies. Chanel is hosting a dinner party at the Monkey Bar on September 15 after the Coco Before Chanel premiere at the Paris Theatre—expect Audrey Tautou but no Karl Lagerfeld. The paps will turn out again on the 16th for the premiere of Charlize Theron's new film The Burning Plain. But the screening that has everyone talking—no, we don't mean The September Issue—is the September 8 sneak peek at Loïc Prigent's The Day Before, which follows Sonia Rykiel, Jean Paul Gaultier, Lagerfeld at Fendi, and New York's own Lazaro Hernandez and Jack McCollough of Proenza Schouler for the 48 hours leading up to their shows. Karl is skipping this party, too, but it promises to be starry nonetheless—celeb faves Lazaro and Jack are co-hosts.
