It seems like only yesterday that editors were stepping off the plane from the European fall '08 runway shows, but (as always) the interim seasons have crept up on us out of nowhere.

This time Christian Dior led the charge, showing their resort '08 collection Monday night at that old New York mainstay, Guastavino's, on Fifty-second Street. The city's top editors, along with the usual social set and a few big-name celebs, made appearances for the event.

Marc Antony and his bride, Jennifer Lopez (right), glowing in a silver beaded Dior dress with hair tied in her signature tight bun, made their entrance early, getting to their front row seats before the mad rush. Charlize Theron (left), sporting a fantastic purple Dior halter dress, arrived just as the show was to begin, taking her seat next to Christina Aguilera. After the show (a Mrs. Robinson takes Palm Beach procession of looks), starlets and social swans including Leighton Meester, Ziyi Zhang, Tinsley Mortimer, Fabiola Bercasa, Olivia Chantecaille and Genevieve Jones, mingled briefly downstairs, where cocktails were served. While the gale winds outside felt more reminiscent of early winter, revelers at this show and cocktail left hopeful for warmer climes, and less clothing, to come.
